Spring in Greenpoint: The Best Plant-Filled Spots for Sipping, Shopping, & Blooming
Three of my top recommendations!
There’s something magical about Greenpoint, Brooklyn in the spring. The neighborhood hums with life, streets are lined with budding trees, and every café patio slowly fills up with people wanting to soak up the warm spring air. Whenever I find myself craving a little nature without leaving the city, I head straight to these Brooklyn gems, where plant shops and coffee spots blur the line between indoors and out.
If you’re ready to embrace the season, here’s your guide to the best plant-filled spots in Greenpoint.
Everwild Blooms
42 West St, Suite 109
Walking into Everwild Blooms feels like stepping into a secret garden. Tucked inside a sun-drenched studio, this woman-owned floral shop is a haven of wild, organic arrangements that look like they were plucked straight from a meadow. I first discovered Everwild while hunting for a last-minute gift, and I left not only with a dreamy bouquet but also a hand-poured candle I definitely didn’t need (but absolutely adore).
Their arrangements have this beautifully undone quality, delicate flowers spilling over vases, each petal seemingly placed by nature itself. Whether you’re planning a big event or just want to brighten up your living room, Everwild captures the feeling of spring in every bouquet.
Homecoming
116 Franklin St
Homecoming is my go-to spot for a slow morning. It’s part café, part plant shop, and 100% my idea of heaven. The first time I visited, I ordered a cappuccino and wandered through the space, weaving between tables stacked with ceramics and shelves overflowing with houseplants. I ended up sitting by the window, coffee in hand, surrounded by greenery, and lost track of time completely.
They source flowers from local farms, so there’s always something new and seasonal to discover. And if you leave without grabbing a tiny plant or a new vase, you’re stronger than I am.
Tend
252 Franklin St
If you’re a bit of a plant collector (or aspire to be), Tend is your place. It’s a design-forward shop with a carefully curated selection of specialty plants, think rare finds, sleek ceramics, and all the essentials to keep your green babies thriving.
I stopped by after convincing myself I needed just one more plant for my apartment, and walked out with a sculptural, viney beauty that’s now the star of my living room. The staff knows their stuff, too, so if you’re not sure which plant will survive your particular brand of neglect, they’ve got you covered.
Tula
This guide would not be complete without mentioning Tula, a haven for serious plant collectors and casual admirers alike. More than just a plant shop, Tula is an experience! Housed in a beautifully designed space with a carefully curated selection of greenery, from rare tropicals to hardy desert plants. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, offering expert advice on care and styling. They also host workshops and events, making it a go-to spot for plant lovers looking to deepen their knowledge or just bring home something special.
There’s something so grounding about spending a day surrounded by plants and flowers. Maybe it’s the reminder that growth takes time, or perhaps it’s the quiet joy of discovering beauty in every leaf and petal. Either way, wandering through Greenpoint’s lush, green-filled spaces feels like a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and carry a little piece of spring with you, no matter where you go.
